THE ENGENDER PROJECT

These results have come forth from a productive collaboration between Ministry of Home Affairs (Bureau Gender Affairs),  Ministry of Justice and Police (National Council Domestic Violence),  United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Women’s Rights Centre (WRC), Stop Violence Against Women Foundation and Foundation De Stem together with civil society organizations and government agencies over the past 6 months (June – December 2020). 

The EnGenDER Project is a regional project with nine beneficiary countries, that includes Suriname.  These countries are Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Suriname). Countries with different geographical and socio-economic landscapes but all seeking to address the issue of gender-responsiveness in climate, in disaster risk reduction, in environmental management and in building resilience.   The files can be accessed here.
